MarsCon 2008 Music Guest Of Honor: HOT WAFFLES! ( http://hotwafflesmusic.com/ )

Chris and Timm Waffle triumphantly return to MarsCon, ready to do two things, (1) blow you away with a comedy rock spectacle the likes of which has never been seen, and (2) consume mass quantities on the 13th floor afterwards. They've appeared on EXTRA and G4's Attack of the Show, and have performed at the Improv, the Ice House, the Carpenter Performing Arts Center, and the Orange County Comedy Festival. They've also performed with Dr. Demento, and who can forget their performance of "The Yolk's On You" at the MarsCon 2006 Dementia Smackdown? So get ready for a rockin' musical breakfast of Hot Waffles at MarsCon 2008!

This year at MarsCon, be prepared for a different kind of storm...

PAUL & STORM! ( http://paulandstorm.com/ )

The MARSCON DEMENTIA FAN SHOWCASE
hosted by DJ PARTICLE! ( http://www.djparticle.com/ )

The one and only DJ Particle will host this event that puts YOU in the spotlight! Sunday morning in the Karaoke Room (exact time TBA), it'll be your chance to get up in front of the crowd and show your demented stuff! Are you an up and coming dementia artist with some songs to sing? Are you a karaoke fanatic who loves to sing your favorite funny tunes? Do you and your friends want to do a lip-sync to the latest demented hit? Then this is the show for you! DJ Particle will be performing some new songs herself as a part of the show! Want to be in the show? Drop me an e-mail at LukeSki@Juno.com with the subject line "SHOWCASE" and tell me who you are and what you plan to do. So come on and join in the fun, because it's your turn to be a dementia star!

The DEMENTIA RADIO ROOM PARTY!

"Blasted Bill" Putt and the crew from the awesome 24-hour a day streaming audio internet station "Dementia Radio Dot Org" ( http://www.dementiaradio.org/ ) are returning to MarsCon again to throw another rocking party on Friday and Saturday night on the infamous 13th floor! There will be music! Snacks! Alcohol! Mayhem! Cheese Whiz! Cleavage! Rob Balder committing mayhem with cheese whiz
on cleavage! So be sure to stop by and spend some time there when perusing all the parties on the 13th floor!

The Marscon 2008 DEMENTIA SMACKDOWN!

Sunday at 3:00 pm, we close out the weekend with our popular traditional pre-Closing-Ceremonies concert, the Dementia Smackdown! Bear witness to all 14 performers getting on stage and taking turns performing cover versions of comedy music hits of the past and present, possibly with some surprises thrown in! Don't miss it!

And of course, there's THE REST OF THE CONVENTION!

(The other co-chair would be Earl "Wyngarde" Luckes, who is too busy being a proud new daddy to whip up a cheesy email like this.)

Want to hear a musical con report of last year's convention in the style of the late legendary schizophrenic Chicago street musician Wesley Wills? Sure, of course you do! Here it is! ( http://www.thefump.com/side.php?id=81 ) And to read a more conventional web page con report with pictures for MarsCon 2006, click here. ( http://www.lukeski.com/marscon2006.htm )

-------------------------

Nearly every dementia performer at MarsCon 2008 is a core, auxiliary, or SideShow contributing member of the FuMP ( http://www.thefump.com ), a.k.a. the Funny Music Project, where you can download new free comedy songs every day.

Still not enough comedy music for you? Then point your computer's audio player to Dementia Radio Dot Org ( http://www.dementiaradio.org ), where every night a veritable plethora of DJs from across the county hosts live comedy music shows. And when they're not on, they have a 24-hour a day random server playing the funny non-stop! And either way, you get to request what songs you want to hear! You can't lose! Dementia Radio!Ridiculous!

Do you like pudgy cheeseheads who make rap songs about Lord of the Rings? You DO?!?! Freak... ( http://thegreatlukeski.com/ )
